As the title says, more English Pokemon names were revealed for the upcoming Pokemon Black and White games. So here they are:
-Chillarmy (Japanese name) His English name is Minccino. If you don't know them by name, I included spoilers after every pokemon to see a picture.

-Gigaiasu (Japanese name) His English name is Gigalith. Here's a pic:

-Munna (Japanese AND English name) her name didn't change. Well at least I THINK it's a her. I didn't play the Japanese game yet to know if it can be a male too

Sorry if a thread has already been made for this. I searched and couldn't find.
Anyway, my opinions:
I like the new names, but some are too hard to pronounce, like Minccino. Why is there two c's? How should I pronounce this?
Or like.. Munna!
rofl2.gif
Should I put pressure on the N or just pronounced it like "muna" ?
Pidove... Is this pronounced "Puh-doe-vee" or "Puh-dove" ?
tongue.gif

Anyway, I really like Araragi's new name Juniper. It suits her
tongue.gif
Unova is a terrible name but Castelia is nice
laugh.gif

So yeah enjoy the new English names all

Ok, let's try to answer...
1. I have no idea.. But I think it should be Mink-seeh-no or something like that...
2. Nah, I'm pretty sure it's just like that, Munna.
3. I think it should be pee-dove.
4. You got something wrong there, Unova's the english name for the Isshu region, not the jap name of the city. Castelia's jap name is Hiun city (which I think is cooler
tongue.gif
).

So... Hope we share some toughts
tongue.gif

QUOTEChillarmy should have stayed Chillarmy, it's catchy and easy to learn you know for kids.
yeah that too
tongue.gif
I like Chillarmy more than Minccino

I didn't get anything wrong

I'm just saying that Castelia is a good translated name but Unova is terribly translated

Did anyone find that Mijumaru's (Japanese Water Starter) name in english hilarious? I found the name totally pathetic to the point of laughing at it! But then again all 3 starter names were terrible. Tipig? Snivy? Oshowott?!???!?!!?!?!?! WTF?!

Actually the one in japanese which I find it funny is :

Mamepato.

In spanish it´d be something like: mahmehh - phátooh

Wouldn't it be mahmehpatoh? That's how it's pronounced in Japanese and the Spanish and Japanese pronunciation is the same for both in this case. If it was "ph" it would be pronounced as an "f", which it isn't. I don't know why you snuck up a tilde either.

It should be italian pronunciation : Min-tchi-no. 'cc' is pronounced 'tchi' in italian (like capuccino)
