I just got an Xbox 360 Elite 120GB hard drive, and I was really looking forward to adding music to the hard drive. But I was really disappointed when found out that the Xbox can only actually add music by ripping a disc. So, is it possible to load up a DVD with MP3 files and then use the Xbox's disc drive to move the files to it's hard drive? Or should I just stick with streaming them over my Network?

If i'm correct, there's no way to store anything to the HD that you put on yourself. So, via CD/DVD/Flash Drive, you cannot put em on the drive.

I load up a flash drive or an external drive and plug it in USB.

Also, a lot of MP3 players can be plugged in USB and played through the 360. (when my Zune was still allive... rip... i plugged that in for all my music. I still think of Crackdown when i listen to Jimmy Eat World's album Chase This Light.)
