Hi everyone! I've been looking for a software able to identify and organize my ROM library. I've found multiple solutions but most of them are old/outdated or centered around a single platform (Switch Library Manager for example).
Is there any software which could do similar things but supporting multiple platforms?

https://datomatic.no-intro.org/index.php?page=search&s=64 has dats of the same format supported by a variety of tools. They tend to focus on the purer dumps where something like TOSEC or goodtools (responsible for the various naming conventions you might see on older systems https://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/GoodTools ) does more things.
http://advanscene.com/html/index.php has some more.
https://wiki.recalbox.com/en/tutorials/games/generalities/isos-and-roms/differents-groups covers some differences between things.

There tends to be a break between older devices and anything on a DVD (and possibly CD even if the likes of DS ROMs routinely exceed the sizes seen there).

Not a "use this" suggestion (especially not for large consoles, and there is a reason I still have offlinelist going on in various places) but hopefully gets you somewhere good soon enough.

TOSEC seems like the way to go, unfortunately most of their tools appear to be discontinued and discouraged. Will look for alternatives.

I like OfflineList.
There's other frontends, but I never really got to grips with them.
I did try OfflineList but it gave issues when importing DATs so I ended up discarding it :/ maybe will try again
