Hacking NANDs are swichted and install Gateway?

The majority of titles on 3DS go on the SD card with per-NAND magic so you can't just use it in another console.
A small amount of titles (system titles, DSIWare/GBA...) go directly on the NAND instead.

FBI lets you choose the destination, though in most cases NAND is either completely invalid or doesn't work (as you saw), whereas others choose this for you based on the cia.

Thank you so much man, the install finally worked!! I installed FBI.cia and then through FBI.cia I installed the homebrew launcher loader and the gateway loader cia and it installed and booted perfectly well. (Although I did have a complication when I tried to delete the FBI title from the NAND as I couldn't find the title anywhere installed even though I knew that when I would try to reinstall to NAND it would mention an install already exists and if I went to the home menu the phantom cia would appear. So what I did was attempt to reinstall so I could overwrite the already existing cia and then cancel during the actual reinstallation of the cia. When I did that the free space available on the nand increased so I think I was successful - and anyway now when I boot in sysNAND holding L the place where the phantom cia once was is now replaced by the actual FBI.cia ).

ok i also want to boot gw on arm9hax. i know now i just cant, but what about BootCtr9? on menuhax i use BootCtr to load gw.3dsx, can i just setup BootCtr9 and load gw.3dsx as usual?
