Hello all. I'm wondering if someone can help me set this up. I was running AuReiNAND before, and a friend advised me to update to Luna. After putting the right files in the right places, I popped my SD back in my 2DS, and now I'm greeted with this screen...

I don't really know much about modding, I did most of my homebrew stuff with the same friend, so I will need assistance if someone is around to help me.

Thanks!

Just select the options you want like if you want to use DLC from another region you would select Enable region/language emulation

I do have it, just an old version apparently. When I say that I need assistance, I truly have no idea what any of the options do lol.

This is why we shouldn't have shoved a9lh down peoples throats. Alright, If you are only using sysnand (you do not have an emunand on your sd card) check autoboot sysnand. Check sysnand is updated as well, even if it isn't, it is still safer to do this. Force a9lh detection, and enable region/lang emulation, should also be enabled iirc. Everything below that is optional. Do not select use second emunand.

edit: read the above post, it was something I did not know existed.

When I boot up, I boot up straight into EmuNAND, It used to show me the reiNAND splash screen, then straight into emu, when I leave my SD card out, it doesn't boot anything, basically just freezes on a black screen....If that makes any difference to what I need to select

If it was me and when powering it on I am greeted with that message I will assume that A9LH is already set up. I might have myself tried checkmark "Force A9LH Detection" and "Show Current NAND in System Settings" and press START to save and let it boot, then open System Settings and see what the version string says. If it says something like "Sys. 11.0.0-XX" (which I assume means that there is no emuNAND set up yet and someone been keeping sysNAND up to date) then I would have opened that Luma3DS setup again by holding SELECT while powering on and also checkmarking "Autoboot SysNAND" and "SysNAND is Updated (A9LH Only)" as well and then press START to save and boot.

EDIT: This is what I assume... your setup could vary.

Great. I've done that now, and now upon powering up, it shows no splash screen, and just boots up into emuNAND. Is there anything else I need to know/do before I ask any more questions?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I've finalized that now, now I'm running lunaupdater. I've got a few other questions if possible.

1. I've seen that it's possible that I can play GBA games now? how would that work?
2. Is there any tips and tricks to using Luna?
3. I used to use an R4 Card as well as downloading CIA games, or 3DS games then converting them, can I still do all those things?
4. Is there anything else I should do, to sysNAND? or just continue to boot into emuNAND (Which is my preferred method anyway)
5. Am I still okay to go ahead and perform updates to the system in emu, and update games freely?

1. Install the cia for the game
2. Tips? Tricks? Like what, you mean features?
3. Yep
4. Sysnand in my opinion is better because less of a hassle dealing with two things, emunand is slightly slower, uses more battery and takes up space on your SD card, but nothing is needed to be done to sysnand if you want to keep your emunand.
5. Yep

Ah brilliant, thanks for the reply. Yeah sorry, I meant features not tips and tricks lol. How would I be able to find if I'm running Luna? I know I do know, but would there be something on the DS that could tell me for future reference?. And lastly, can I still install CIA games, then delete the file and keep the game on the DS? I did that before to save a lot of space on my SD card

You would now by holding select to bring up settings, names of files on your SD card and the lumaupdater cia of course! There are many features some include being able to boot apps on boot (which can also save you from a brick if you have a recovery software set) by holding a certain button, ds related patches and Gba related patches, and a whole bunch more just search it up. Also the last one you sure can, I recommend upgrading to the now fastest and best cia installer: the latest version of FBI... it can even delete them for you after install!

Google FBI cia and go to one of the first ones which will be steveice10's github just download and install the cia

Will do!. Will it overwrite the current FBI installer? And when you say it can open some apps on boot, what sort of useful apps can someone with A9LH download?

Not sure if not just delete it through system settings!

I used to drink alcohol fairly often. Never to the point of it being a problem, but like 2-3 beers with dinner each night, or a few cocktails or glasses of Scotch or something. Started smoking/vaping weed a lot a few years back which killed 90% of my interest in booze. Now I stopped smoking/vaping weed as much and just deal with life the boring way most of the time

Spoke to Tom Fulp the other day, if he can find his old Newgrounds site content like the mini Flash animations from the 2000's that played on the portal.

So far no response, but he did say that he'll find them. Wayback Machine doesn't have em.

@SylverReZ, atleast the 1999 versión of pico's school is avaliable (the difference between it, the 2006 versión and the 2016 versión is that the speed of the game depends of the speed of your computer and that it had the og soundtrack)

@Xdqwerty, Another being Pico VS Bear, the original 1999 version before Jim Henson filed a DMCA takedown.
