Im not gonna mention my real favorities like CONTRA and MARIO 2 and TMNT 1 and FINAl
Fantasy 1 and Darkwing Duck and Megaman 2, 3 and Adventure Island II & III
Cos those will be mentioned by others..

Instead I will list those that are more obscure and were probably not released world wide
or were not played as much or rarely mentioned:

Mighty Final Fight - awesum and is being rereleased for gba as capcom classics....
Legend of Kage - kool ninja
Pacmania - isometric pacman that jumps
Elevator Action - sounds quite porno now...

Lickle - Dragon was da coolest
Mitsume Gatooru - Monk saves his girl - wait WHAT!? a monk has a girlfriend!?!?
Goonies - I dont think this is based too much on the movie... or is it.. ????

A Japanese game (but there are translation patches) that is considered by most to be the first suspense horror game, and the inspiration of Resident Evil.

There was a movie released along side the game.
