Can you update the Luma firm files while the 3DS is running? I thought replacing Luma while the system was on might be a problem, so I decided to manually copy files to the SD card, instead of using FTP, which is my normal solution for transferring small files.Just use ftpd and Universal-Updater. You don't need to remove the sd card ever again to transfer small files..
in uu, yes. ftp is likely to cause the system to crash. Can you update the Luma firm files while the 3DS is running? The only thing I could think of that might downgrade it is the boot.firm file? I think that might be to patch the plugin loader not sure. The first time I did that! Here is what the plugin adds, admittedly - I have only tried installing this via Uni updater, as per the creators instructions! I am weary on doing it manually in case that would mess something up..
Ntr if you use it.Here to report that you can update luma thru FTP. It did not crash my system. I turned off the console from inside the FTP program on 3DS tho, maybe it would if you get to the home menu. But when i started again it said i had luma 11.0 so the update went well. I haven't taken my SD card out of my 3DS in years. There's no point tbh...
Should i update anything else besides luma before the update? im not evne sure what godmode9 is, but if you say update, i'll update
not sure what that is, but the rocket icon seems familiar so i suppose that's something i installed when following the tutorials for CFW installing back then. If i never used it again, should i care about updating tho?Ntr if you use it.
If you're looking for someone else who does, you're probably not likely to find anyone.Hey! Somebody knows if this update patches the painthax exploit?
(Yeah, I still use that)
Because in Europe, credit card support was removed long before US had the removal. Reason? EU "card security" laws.I wonder why this required an update, whereas removing credit card support did not.
What??? They don't accept credit card anymore??? What about pokebank?????probably because they effectively just banned everyone from being able to use a credit card, but setup a custom error for it
they can do that, my first 3ds was banned from using a credit card, but i could still use eshop codes fine
You need to add money via funds over their online site. Or wait until March 2023 when pokebank will become free to use. What??? They don't accept credit card anymore??? What about pokebank?????
Oh my god. My license expired in June. Where was I that did not read about this creditt card thing? :/You need to add money via funds over their online site. Or wait until March 2023 when pokebank will become free to use.
It will be free to continue using it, but you won't be able to download it anymore. You'd have to get a CIA at that point.Or wait until March 2023 when pokebank will become free to use.
Or, credit card support ended in 2018 for people like me in the European Union.Credit card support ended in May. Gift card support ended a week ago. You have to create a Nintendo Account and merge it with your NNID in order to add funds now. Funds will be shared between Switch, Wii U, and 3DS at that point. You can then continue buying eShop games until the closure in March.

You could add through Switch or online, I think this was a missed opportunity imoThere isn't any point in allowing sales to continue if nobody can add money to spend.
