Nintendo Switch Online N64 controller officially sold out until 2022

While the result of the emulated Nintendo 64 games on the Switch might have left fans wanting for more, others were eager to get their hands on a modernized N64 controller. However, if you didn't already get yours ordered, you likely won't be able to get your hands on one until next year, at the earliest. The $49.99 controller is sold out on both the Nintendo US and UK storefronts, with the former noting that while you can't order any for now, more controllers are on the way, and will be available sometime in 2022.

I can see that. The Genesis controller feels a bit cheap, so light too.
I didn't buy it, but when you consider their SNES controller is $30, I really can't tell what the Genesis one has over it. The N64 controller has built-in rumble and an analog stick.

It might be good for the Genesis collection. I tested it, not surprisingly no issues. Better than the expansion pack, but I did buy the expansion pack mostly for oot.

That's a real disappointment, but also not that surprising, I guess. Way too many Genesis controllers are total crap (looking at you, hyperkin genesis controller) and feel horribly light compared to the OG.
What about 8BitDo?

I'm hoping they restock in the UK this year, the mega drive controllers haven't even went on sale yet.

I have streetmerchant checking for stock in the UK, I'm not paying £100+ ebay prices.

While I didn't get that, I got the Mega Drive controller, should be here this week :P Not a fan of the OG N64 controller to be honest.
I am considering getting the 8bitdo one with 6 face buttons and the adapter. Cheaper option wonder if you can set the games to use all the buttons.

i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
