Nintendo World Store Launch Party Mystery Gift DISASTER

According to our source who just attended the Nintendo World Store launch party event, there was a significant amount of drama. First we would like to point out that the flyer posted by QuickAttack on Bulbapedia was fake. The third line regarding the Mystery Gift was intentionally photoshopped by a member of their site in an effort to create his/her own event. Throughout the event there were announcements through the Nintendo World Store speakers NOT to download any Mystery Gifts as they will CORRUPT your game. A rotund, bearded, and generally unkempt individual dressed as a Team Rocket grunt was escorted out of the event by security for distributing a very hacked level 50 shiny Gengar from Lovely Place. There were at least 2 reported Wi-Fi Mystery Gift signals at the event which ended about one hour ago.

Other than the Mystery Gift drama, the party was smooth and everyone was satisfied with the variety of entertainment offered. We will have pictures of the party later on tonight, so check back soon! I was doing this at the local TRU Regigigas event, but it wasn't very successful.

I was distributing pokemon that immitated movies.

Better security?

How about this, rip down a random event poster, scan it, photoshop it, print it back out, post them up.
Then, download the deoxys distro rom and patch it into whatever pokémon you want, flash it and walk into the event with the rom working in your pocket.

It's so easy I could do it myself.

Seeing as how you are given an impossible to obtain Gengar (uses moves and has an ability it should not have), it's effectively a WIFI ban.

Really though, he'd be trolling a bunch of 10 year olds.

There are two guys wearing Team Rocket, the fat James cosplayer and the black guy wearing a team rocket grunt. The james cosplayer is a good guy and should not be mistaken the one who distribute the hacked gengar.

I've read this a few days ago, so it isn't exactly news to me. I think Nintendo should actually have someone dressed as a Rocket grunt for Pokemon events
