Hardware NNID Transfer after LumaCFW

So my old NNID that I used for everything on my n3DS is gone after I had to format it to get LumaCFW on it through the DSiWare Save Injection System Transfer process. It has a throwaway NNID on it now but I was hoping to put my old NNID back on it.

Would I have to contact Nintendo Support to get it back to delink and re-add?

they may not ban at all. but they do have the ability to say no if they find certain games or anything attached to the NNID itself.

I have never had to call so i was just assuming.

Yeah, I formatted before I did anything with homebrew or CFW on that account so I could get it back.
