Hi, today i have installed an optimized capture card (no ir version). All went well but using the capture software i get a no signal after i had put in the product key. I have tried reinstalling the drivers but to no avail. I have also checked if some of the pins on the pcb had dettached but they havent. Using the spd_chk16.exe i was able to revive data. If anyone can help it would be appreciated, if you need anymore specification please let me know.

Did you install the drivers before disabling driver signature checks?

The optimize drivers fucking suck and I doubt they ever fixed them since 2015.

I’m sure there is a non nuclear option but whenever I’ve made the mistake of installing the drivers both before disabling signature checks or if I plugged in the capture card prior to installing the drivers properly (signature checks disabled) it would cause windows to never see the capture card until I completely reinstalled the operating system

The optimize kits used some hacky drivers to get it to work, and from my understanding using multiple so I could never find out the exact ones to uninstall.

TLDR try another computer if you have it, and DONT plug the capture card in until you, disable windows driver checks, install the drivers, and do a PC restart first. I guarantee if your soldering is done correctly that doing either this or just reinstalling windows(unless you find a less nuclear option) will fix your issue

I hate hate these capture kits lol

Sorry for late reply, I ended up taking it apart checking it all putting it back together then it worked. Maybe the board was contacting something I have no clue, but it’s working now.

I’m unsure what caused my issue but usually the no signal after working is caused by pins on the capture card being bent out of place due to not enough material being removed from the case. To fix this reseed the chip on the capture card. If you don’t see any obvious problem with the pins or any other solders and that doesn’t work I’m not too sure.
