Hi! I'm a new GBAtemp user and a fairly new 3DS modder (modded ACNL on an emulator a couple years back, actually trying it on a real 3DS for the first time) so be easy on me.
I'm following a tutorial on how to make Animal Crossing villagers. Since I'm new, I can't post the link, but it's by mayorfuu on Tumblr and you can probably find it on Google.
So, I have both the original Ohana3DS and Rebirth. But whenever I put a .bcres file into Ohana3DS, it says "This file is not a model file!"
I have done this successfully before, 2 years ago on my old computer (which has since been wiped), and back then I recall using Rebirth to import textures because I couldn't find the original anywhere. However, when I try importing textures into Rebirth, it doesn't even work. It doesn't give me an error message or glitchy blank face or anything, it just simply does not import it. It does absolutely nothing. So that's out of the question too (unless anyone has a solution for that. Either is okay

I'd really appreciate help, as this is a mod I'm incredibly excited about, and the tutorial on Tumblr is the only good ACNL modding tutorial I can find.
Also, if there's a better, more up-to-date software out there that can edit .bcres files, I'd like to know what it is.
