Sorry I'm not sure what you are asking? :S
I was referring to the image below that has been flying around the forum and was on the post of Dee87 that I quoted, it seems that later he edited (and rightly so), since that connections are wrong.

First time I saw it was last week, and was asking if you could ask to edit/edit the original post, since I didn't knew who wrote it. Digging this morning, I think I found the original post and it was a question from vittorio regarding the connections here. I don't know why people took it and started using it for install, since it was just a question. Just wanted to signal this so others won't follow the same path.

The original post has the image removed, so this is good. I imagine it will continue to circulate on different posts here as it has been going on other thread as well. Until we get a complete diagrams for each console version, just remember that the schematic below is WRONG, the gate of the FET should be connected to the Pico, not to the cap.

V2 CPU flex cable has 6 lines of soldering and pico chip board has only one cpu line which one is the correct one fron the flex cable side that goes to the pico motherboard?
Well, this has been answered a bunch of times, and just a few posts ago, you can find a nice zoomed photo of the flex. You need to connect the two middle pins, or the 3rd or the 4th pin, counting from left side or the right side to the RP2040-zero board, that's it.

Hello fellow GBATemp. I want to try to install the chip in a Switch Lite by myself and I only have one question.

In the CMD CLK and DAT0 points how do I have to solder? In some schemes they indicate the two "dots" and in others only the one on the right.

I hope you can help me and not turn the console into a brick.

Thank you very much for your help.

either, or both, so long as they are connected. just don't kill the pads otherwise you're outta luck as they goto traces on the cpu

I was able to attach the wires to the pad area through soldering, but when I tried to move the wires slightly, the pads came off with the wires. Do you usually try not to touch the wires after attaching them, everyone?

You can reinforce it with light-curing solder mask

I would like to reference this, but how much strength can be obtained if it is reinforced using it? Would it not move even if the wire is moved?
At least if you bend it with your hands, it generally won't fall off as long as you don't use force.
It is best to add more flux when soldering to ensure a reliable connection of the solder joints.

An advice for all the people that try for the first time to mod their console. Please guys start with the basics. The first thing you need is the correct soldering iron. You need a low watt soldering iron that reaches 350 c with the correct tip. The tip must be really small. Second you absolutely need flux. Without flux you will not finish your task. And lastly you need leaded solder which has lower melt point in order to make you job easier. Without that stuff dont even begin you modding. I listed here only the basics to make the job done, for the perfect job you need even more stuff. For example you cant borrow from a friend a soldering iron with a big tip and some no name uknown solder without even a flux. Leader solder may have flux in its core but it is not enough.
At the ps1, ps2 era when i did my first soldering jobs i did these mistakes and cost me a console. Dont do the same mistake. Years later this may seem to be a very easy task for me but believe me dont start without a very good reading about how all these stuff work and some tutorials about soldering on youtube at least. I give you these advices because it is really sad to destroy you console thinking that this is a very simple task. With the proper knowledge and equipment this is easy but without it you will simply have a non working console and a sad day...

Yes, the right soldering iron and flux can solve a large part of the problem.
The optimal temperature of the electric soldering iron is about 300~350 °C

Correct!
We must all realise that this mod may cost some bucks including : the resistors, rp-2040 zero, the mosfet and the dat0 adapter on oled if you dont reball the emmc (and even if you reball the emmc you need to buy the bga 153 stencil in order to to do the job clean and easy) but you will also need : the correct soldering iron and tip, the correct hot air station, a microscope, the correct tweezers, enameled wire , the correct awg wires for 3.3v and ground, soldering mask ,isopropyl alcohol, the correct flux , the correct solder , you may also need soldering wick to fix possible mistakes you may make and to all these you must add the knowledge on how to use these equipment correctly.
Dont get me wrong. You can get the job done with half of these stuff but you may find obstacles in your way which would not be there if you had all the right equipment. Some of the pics i saw of installations where very scary.

In other words the equipment you need is much more expensive than the stuff you need to buy for the mod.

Spoke to Tom Fulp the other day, if he can find his old Newgrounds site content like the mini Flash animations from the 2000's that played on the portal.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
So far no response, but he did say that he'll find them. Wayback Machine doesn't have em.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, atleast the 1999 versión of pico's school is avaliable (the difference between it, the 2006 versión and the 2016 versión is that the speed of the game depends of the speed of your computer and that it had the og soundtrack)

@Xdqwerty, Another being Pico VS Bear, the original 1999 version before Jim Henson filed a DMCA takedown.

The 2006 versión was made when the flash portal was made

Many people thought it was lost, but was discovered that he hid it on the same page.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, although the "secrets" system where the game was has been removed. Also pico vs uberkids had a netplay versión that was shutdown, although the swf file has been found
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Nope. There are two download buttons on the same page, where you can download the original under a file called "bear.exe". "bear2.exe", however, is the updated game in a Flash projector. P.s. this was on the archived Pico page from 2000.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:

@SylverReZ, also the pico 2 demos used to be only for the newgrounds patrons but they are on internet archive too (https://archive.org/download/picos_school_2)

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
Iirc the demos were removed from newgrounds in 2022

@SylverReZ, or well only the demo with mindchamber's style was on newgrounds

Fun fact @SylverReZ: iirc one of the goals on the fnf Kickstarter stated that pico 2 would be finished but the Kickstarter didnt get enough money for that goal to be fullfiled

@Xdqwerty, FNF sucks, their community is toxic as hell.

Newgrounds wasn't the birth of FNF; rather, it was games where you beat up celebrities and parodies.
