After playing around with the switch for a while today, 2.61 definitely takes longer to glitch than 2.5 or 2.6 did (Patched Erista, rpi2040 pico).

Edit: Resetting the training data using the toolbox seems to have fixed it.. will keep watching.

That is why it's alpha, once everything is fixed I post a new version.

fixing this right now, software update related thing.
I’ve tried make the OFW work using the following:
- restored known good boot0
- regenerated boot0+boot1 using emmxhaccgen
- restored full backup of 14.X, then upgraded to 16.0.1

Still can’t make the OFW boot from sdloader or from hekate’s restart->OFW.

Can boot it using “launch stock” entry, tho.

As I said, no biggie.

For the record, fw 2.6.1, upgraded via toolbox from 2.6. Console is Mariko (v2), rp is waveshare zero.

Flashed 2.61 via toolbox
open picofly toolbox
Starting with 2.6 alpha, you can just update the chip using a special payload
how to access "picofly toolbox"? and what the difference if i run hekate > payloads > click update.bin?

What about the boot loader? Wouldn’t that need to be updated via USB?
what is bootloader?
im so sorry, just understanding it one by on. thank you for your time

2.61

- no more magic for xiao/itsy, detection by shorting pins
-- for xiao2040 please short GPIO 1 & 2
-- for itsybitsy please short GPIO 2 & 3

- moved to the latest sdloader version (I know, logo sucks now)

- software update bugfixes, rollback works fine now

I often replace m92t36 so was thinking of using another 3.3v point so to not run wires around m92 incase it ever needs to be replaced

The emmc board has a 3.3v point that I guess sx core and hwfly clones use with the solderless chips

Is it ok to short those two 3.3v points? (I do get continuity between them, but it never hurts to ask about it :D )

Also: Is it safe to boot up the Switch without the cpu plate and heatsink back on? Of course I mean just for testing if the install is alright and then turning it off again. I've seen it being done in some videos, but you never know
