PlayStation 4 Remote Play Coming to PC and Mac

Earlier today the President of Sony's Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida, tweeted:
Shuhei Yoshida on Twitter said:
"Some people asked if we plan to provide Remote Play function to PC, and yes, we are indeed working on an official application for PC/Mac. :D

This sudden revelation comes just in time as many people are just now joining the PS4 bandwagon due to the Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday deals (let's just call it Black November, shall we?)

This news is also convenient as it comes right after the launch of Twisted's unofficial remote play application for Windows. While Twisted's app costs $10 to activate, there is no official information about how much the official app would cost, if anything.

Officially, remote play is currently supported for PS Vita, PSTV, and Sony Xperia phones. If what Yoshida tweeted is true then support will extend to Windows and Mac computers.

What do you guys think? Let us know in the comments!

Poor twisted, he's put over a year into this, working so hard.

Now sony will sue him / blackmail to stop and do their best to block his app. They'll tell users they are in violation of the user agreement (which is law in Sonys eyes - morons )

A company who deserved to burn in hell and almost did. Damn PS4 saved their ass

Could this somehow lead to piracy? :yayps3:
Not in the slightest.

remote play isn't really meant for outside of the network where the ps4 lives

it's just meant to be used when the ps4 tv is in use, so you can play on your vita, pstv, tablet, whatever now

you need a TON of upload to play remotely
Yeah, it's like the Wii U in a way so you don't need to tie up the TV and can still enjoy your game. The major US ISPs heavily throttle upload speed in favor of download, and many still enforce archaic bandwidth limits. 4k streaming and 50-100gb game downloads are becoming a thing now, and the modern world has no room for bandwidth limits anymore.

I think Nintendo is becoming more of a monster than Sony ever was.
