There should be a simple region hack simply because there has been on atleast the last 2 Nintendo systems.
Cube was a switch, N64 required a case mod. Not sure about the NES and SNES.
The NES region hack was the easiest hack ever I ever did. You just cut the leg off one of the chip (I did it.... with a pair of scissors) and it played most of my US games okay. The SNES one was also a case of lifting up a leg from one of the chip but I couldn't do it myself so I spend a little on a SNES which has a 50/60HZ switch and can play any games from any region.
