Homebrew Possible to export save for DS game from Wii U VC to Bootstrap?

So I exported the save from Wii U VC using SaveMii. There's a .save and it's 1,024Kb. I then made a save on bootstrap on my 3DS and it's also 1,024Kb. I changed the .save to .sav and put it on my sd card but it doesn't work.

The game is The Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks with d-pad patch.

Figured it out I forgot there was a save folder on newer versions of bootstrap.
