PS1/2 PS2 doing a lot of noise and TV screen flickering after replacing cables

You got that reversed. Also you should look into things like this.

So, I switched the third-party component cables for the PS2 to HDMI adapter and it seems I don't have blackouts.

EDIT: Now I'm having some black screens. It seems the PS2 to HDMI adapter is the culprit, which I find it odd, since it's new.

EDIT 2: I'll buy a new TV and it will be 4K unlike my current one (which is 1080p) but unlike the latter it won't have component inputs so I guess I'll buy Portta.

EDIT 3: I bought a new TV (a 4K one) and I'm using Portta with official component cables and I haven't had blackouts (and black screens).
