Hacking Ps2 games online on ps3 with cfw question? (FF XI online)

hmm is it possble to play Ps2 games online on ps3 that has cfw in 2021?
an example would be FF XI online using a custom server,
via link Xkai i think?

I think FFXI has to be installed on an HDD and as far as I know, PS2 games don't have the ability to do that on a PS3. You could look up old for old threads about people asking for this on a legit console, since it's more or less the same issue.

I've never heard of this, but I'd assume that if the servers are down, you could possibly use xlink kai. I know that's what you had to do with a jtag back in the day, because signing into live means instant ban.
