my brother dropped his psp e1000, and the screen stopped working
game would come on and you could hear it but you couldn't see it
we replaced the lcd screen and it worked
but he dropped it again!!!
we tried replacing the screen again but it didn't work
when you point a flash light in the screen you can faintly see the game and or interface
any idea how to fix it?

First of all make sure that it is properly connected. If it is & there is still no back light then check here (scroll down to the backlight fuse section).

If the fuse is fine then my best bet is that the new screen have a broken backlight, if that's the case then try to get it replaced for a new one.

he said PSP e1000 not 1000.

I would think the two models vary tremendously.

By the way, I find it very curious that you can still see the screen with a flashlight. Do you really need a flashlight to see it or is the naked eye enough? Because my screen is not working, and I haven't tried a flashlight. I doubt I will see anything though since the screen looks exactly as if it was off.
