I've gotten this game a few months ago, and honestly, I think its OK. But it has ALOT of problems.
1. View distance is very poor, especially when it's raining
2. There are like, 3 music tracks, and it gets annoying listening to the same thing after awhile.
3. Trying to place blocks in certain areas takes like, 1 second instead of instantly
4. Random crashes
5. Every freaking 20 minutes...auto saves. And there is no option to turn it off
6. No mashup packs and just 2 texture packs
7. Paintings like to dissapear
8. Enhance books are really confusing. They change order in creative mode
9. No online multiplayer
10. No new blocks. Not even stained glass
11. No The End
12. The Nether is all clustered
13. It rains like, every 5 minutes
14. No Mario skins
15. No custom worlds
16. The framerate sometimes goes from 5fps to 20fps
17. No options like disable loot drops when killed or invisibility
18. NO DLC (i dont even think Mojang even cares about this version)
19. No music discs or achievements
20. There's not even a tutorial area. Even the Vita had it. This game feels highly incomplete.

Well, there are a lot better versions out there and it's only 30 bucks. If you insist on getting it for free, you can do so with Wii U Homebrew, get a cracked PC version, or download an apk for Android.

It's 3ds, be grateful that it is even on this under powered system

The game isn't shit, the fanbase is. It's the same with FNaF, Undertale and Cuphead.
oh lol my bad, I wasn't giving my own opinion there I was just interpreting KasaiWolf's post

I agree that Minecraft's fanbase is what killed it though. I haven't seen anything from the Cuphead or Undertale fanbases that really irked me yet so I guess I'm just lucky

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

    but that's a long shot

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
Nor clothes 🤮 . Saves on time, soap, water and money having to wash them. :D
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
