Hacking rehacking my Wii- noon here

A friend hacked my Wii for me a couple of years back. The external hard drive has since been damaged and I can't get Wii backups to run right. In a previous thread, it was suggested to me that I rehack the whole darn thing to make sure that I'm up to date. My concern is that I may brick by undoing something. Could you guys please point me to a tutorial? As always thanks a lot!

Ok I figured all of that dumb shit out. Sorry. Where I'm at now is trying to run the syscheck to move forward. I have to do it through the homebrew channel, which I have not installed. I'm worried because I do not want to deviate from this guide at all.

    I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer

    @TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
