Some fan boy, although we explain them about menuhax + Luma3DS, they still believe in rxtools. They still using it because of misunderstanding that they think in order to use Luma3DS they have to go a9lh and that's not true that's what's stopping them from getting off it
Which I already point the problem.Pretty Simple Solution. Aurora Wright should merge the rxTools gui and its name with Luma. then all this wars have an end.
LumaXtools
rxLoom
LumRX
whatever. just end this war.
Both Lima3DS and R3 have goal similar to what you said, but the creator lose interest in them or don't have enough experince to contiune. The problem right now is, the person who expert in 3DS CFW won't interesting in it.
Or the current developes don't have enough experince to contiune their works.
Using rxTools is like voting for Trump.
Um, whats the issue that you have? I can help you...as someone who was on rxtools/emunand for a while, some people already have it installed and just want to figure out something small like why a single .cia isn't installing, while telling them to switch CFW isn't always necessary in solving that issue, as long as rxtools can run that .cia. Second, depending on their usage case scenario, and THEIR INTENDED USAGE PURPOSES, sometimes they may not need to change over to luma AT THIS TIME. There's no point in upgrading a computer on windows 95 to windows 10 if you only use it for word processing, even if its the only way they will get help. It ends up making the user on the other end frustrated when people ask them to change CFW when the issue at hand may not be directly related directly to CFW. My friend's 3DS is on Rxtools, and it still plays the game he wanted it to play, so depending how you look at it, RxTools can be still "functional".
Is it optimal? fuck no.
Does that mean if it gets installed it straight up will not work (thats what the word "functional" means, right?)?
Not at all. And the lack of support tends to aggravate people who end up in these issues if the issue isn't pertaining directly to their CFW.
the issue I have is this community's attitude/perspective towards the issue of helping people with rxtools solve problems non-related to rxtools. I'm on A9LH now (only installed it out of boredom, gained like, barely any benefit from doing it.)Um, whats the issue that you have? I can help you...
The lack from support come from low users in market. If they came from rxtools, they may not even know what the hell luma is.
There is 4 things you need to know right now.
The choices you have here are:
- 3DS exploit: This is a way allow to run somethings that normally can't run such as homebrew, etc. Example of 3DS exploit are menuhax, arm9loaderhax, fasthax, etc.
- 3DS CFW: This is what you want to allow your 3DS to add more function to FW, such as out of region cart load, pirating, ETC. This one need 3DS exploit to be able to run. Example of CFW is Luma3DS. ReiNAND, Corbenik.
- SysNAND: This is your System OS that run on the 3DS.
- EmuNAND: The clone of your SysNAND that store on SD card. This one is need to allow CFW to run without some exploit such as menuhax getting remove by Nintendo update
- Installing Arm9loaderhax (A9LH) Exploit with Luma3DS CFW. Can be done by following this guide: http://3ds.guide/ . This one is the most popular setting and mostly safe from removed by Nintendo. The problem is, this setting require user to hack into 3DS System files. So it has a small risk of brick. But, if you're understand and following every step of the guide I gave you correctly. Even though you bricked, it can still be fix by hardmod.
- Installing menuhax Exploit with Luma3DS CFW. Can be done by following this guide: How to Autoboot EmuNAND on FW 9.0.0-11.2.0 (without A9LH). This one is more safer in installing state. But, drain SD card space for cloning SysNAND into EmuNAND, and has a chance getting remove if you update to next firmware when you accindently boot to SysNAND.
Thats what I do to, but thats not necessarily the whole community. The only issue is, that user (depending on who it is, if hes on rxtools, they are likely to be somewhat stubborn on switching CFW, and are kind of the person I am talking about.) tends to perceive a cfw change as "a waste of my time" when it doesn't directly solve their problem immediately. The lack from support come from low users in market. If you ask me when you have the problem with rxtool,
I can't answer since I'm never using it. A lot of people change before they face the same problem.
That's why the community always advise people by change to Luma3DS first. Since that is someting they know.
I agree with you that something like .cia isn't installing shouldn't related to rxtools.
But most people here aren't developers and trying to help you the way they can, that's why they came up with change.
I don't know about the others, but I never saw people with rxtools come here with the issue you mention.
What I saw are mostly compatibility problem with new games, which when they move to Luma3DS, it's work.
And, I never force people to go to A9LH. I always start by using this patttern:
Yeah, I agree that jumping to conclusions that every problem can be fix by change to Luma3DS is not a good ideaThats what I do to, but thats not necessarily the whole community. The only issue is, that user (depending on who it is, if hes on rxtools, they are likely to be somewhat stubborn on switching CFW, and are kind of the person I am talking about.) tends to perceive a cfw change as "a waste of my time" when it doesn't directly solve their problem immediately.
I'm not a developer, and even I know jumping to conclusions is a terrible idea. Installing it now is not recommended, but the only reason you would still have this is if you had it from a while ago.
Which the problem is, @Roxas75 already declare of his retirement.best cfw with gateway 10/10 outstanding experience.
( This post may contain sarcasm. )
Btw I really used rxtools with gateway but I didn´t bricked ^u^.
Rxtools isnt bad itself , its a outdated cfw , Im sure if OP would update the cfw for a9lh , more people would use it.
By sarcasm I mean the picture of the brick.Which the problem is, @Roxas75 already declare of his retirement.
Every attempt trying to revive this never success because how bad the programing code of it.
Not sure which part of your post is sarcasm since I'm not good with English .
Whaaaaat? I cleaned out hardcoded values from tools and moved all to structures. Just take a look at alternative tools implementations. You can blame Roxas for hardcoded values, but he's actually stitched all knowledge into one useful tool in about a month. Now we have plenty of projects over a year old but still much less versatile. Just because everyone wanted to build their own theme park with blackjack and hookers. And you know there was an attempt (by duke) but it pretty much failed because of poor coding (like hardcoded "magic numbers").
Welp, ok, I'm a fraud. The more you know... still appreciate your work (and your bravery since it takes some to tackle this)Whaaaaat?
