ROM Hack [Request] Animal Crossing: New Leaf Hex Save Editor Help

Hi!! I'm currently trying to play around with making separate saves for different towns BUT I wanted to change the mayor of a pre-established town.

I've done digging and I know that playing with Mayor status is hard, but I have a hypothesis that if you can swap two player's ID numbers, then maybe they'll swap statuses. I have no idea how this would effect the town and save, but I think they're numbers may be connected to this status. I'm using a Hex Editor to try and find these codes, and most other edits, I use Animal Crossing: New Leaf Save Editor. Issue is, I can't locate these IDs. Most guides I've looked at are outdated, so I'm guessing that the most recent version of ACNL has moved these IDs around.

Message me for my own save if you think you might be able to help, and here's the important data:
Town name is Alryne, ID is 0xe8d7
Current mayor is Zenia, ID is 0xe3d3
Player 2 (Who is the one I want to switch to mayor) is Andre, ID is 0x98d9
Player 3 is Morgan, ID is 0xcd45
Player 4 is Laila, ID is 0xf53f (This one is basically blank, just created)

If anyone knows how to switch mayors or if they can help with this, I'm dying to listen

Game System: Old 3DS, 11.13.0-45U, Running Steelhax, Homebrew, and JKSM

    Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

    @Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

    @SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

    Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    @BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

    You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60
