Im curious about how this works
  • Do you end up with multiple copies of retroarch?
  • Does it load straight into the target game ?
  • With custom cfg?
  • Do you end up with overbloathed retroarch with each games?(extra cores ,ect...)
Love the icons btw!

1. No. You don't end up with multiple copies of retroarch. These are merely forwarders; equivalent to shortcuts on Windows, sort of. One forwarder NSP amounts to 0.6 MB when installed.

2. Yes. The game forwarder launches retroarch with a game already selected. So by using forwarders you save like 4 clicks while making everything snazzier. You still load the whole retroarch application, which means that it's the full retroarch. So if you want you can play another game, within the forwarder, from another core or change settings etc.

3. Yes, they work. Forwarders are the full retroarch just happening to be launched at a different starting point.

4. No. The forwarders are merely shortcuts and, as such, do not have their own retroarch files.

Thanks for your kind words btw!

Loving the Master Quest icon!

PSX covers are fickle because most of them have the PlayStation branding on the left, imo it takes up too much space :creep:.
However here are 1521 covers resized to 256 and in JPG.

I will make some custom ones for some games that interest me, I'll post those when they are done.

VR is like 3D TVs in my opinion it's cool and all but it doesn't have enough great content.

VR had the chance to integrate with existing games and tech but VR companies said "NO, I WANT MY SHIT TO BE STANDALONE AND MY GAMES EXCLUSIVE TO FACEBOOK"

  • Veho @ Veho:
Back when Oculus Rift was still starting out and being demoed around, they modded existing games to use it as a 360° immersive screen thing and that was AMAZING.

The tech isn't there for affordable power enough VR headsets at a good market value yet sadly, oculus had a good idea but didn't have enough funds for marketing iirc

But now it's "can I use my VR set with my racing games, that would be neat?" "ONLY IF YOU USE OUR DILDOSTICK CONTROLLERS AND RUN THE GAME ON OUR ANDROID-UNDERPOWERED BRICK"

  • Veho @ Veho:
The tech to have quality VR goggles at an affordable price is here, but every set has to have 4 additional controllers and be standalone.

These are the same type of gamers that spend $2,000 on a GPU when a $600 GPU gives nearly the same outcome which is what the market looks at for them to do spend more on unneeded bs

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
If we're talking AAA titles a vr headset would be priced at nearly the same cost as a midrange gaming pc maybe even double

I think they should bring back the shutter glasses for VR put 120Hz screen in for 60FPS and even a basic phone these days can pull that off

    Head tracking cameras and all
