Hacking Returning a bricked 3DS

Hey everyone.

A while back I bricked my New 3DS XL while trying to get A9LH, I ended up updating my system and as a result bricking it. Very noobish I know.

I was wondering if I could return it to the shop I bought it from and get it replaced with a new one, I still have a 1 year warranty as well.

You can unbrick it with ntrboothax

Yeah I have heard of that but I can't find any legitimate stores to buy an Acekard 2i and Ebay are selling for like £30

They're only about ~$20 (~£15 I think) on nds-card.

I ´m afraid with softmodding your 3ds you lost your customer right for free replacement.
Better get yourself a compatible card for ntrboothax and unbrick it yourself.

You might be able to get away with it depending on how meticulous whoever examines it is (e.g. are they even aware softmodding the 3DS exists?)

But in either case I'd say that it's unethical and a bit of a dick move, definitely use ntrboothax.

Anything, that is not official (any moding) will void your warranty (at least official nintendo warranty, don't know how it is in the shop)

I don't need to worry about that I still have an unbricked Aqua Blue 3DS I can use

In that case you need R4i gold

I´m pretty sure they will ask you for your name and adress when you try to change your 3ds for a new one.
So in the worst case Nintendo tells the salesman that the 3ds is bricked an that it is your fault..

I just got myself an Acekard 2i. Do any of you guys know a video tutorial on unbricking a 3DS with NTRboot? I know there's the 3ds.guide but I find the guide on there a little confusing.

The guy above told you to get the r4i because it's easier to do with only a 3DS.
