Hardware Revo K101 and eReader

So I broke out my copy of Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros 3 and thought I'd create a save file that had all the bonus unlocked levels, the vegetable switch, and a whole slew of feathers.

I had heard that the EXT. port on the Revo was fully functional so I plugged her in with a GBA SP with an eReader and tried to scan some cards.

Sadly the Revo refused to connect with the GBA SP that had the eReader. I even tried getting the setup working with two reliable SPs and then switched one for the Revo and it still wouldn't work.

Is the Revo supposed to have functional eReader support? Or is my EXT. port somehow busted?

A little progress on this front for those interested.

I was able to get the Revo to 'connect' to the GBA SP that had the eReader, although every scanned card sent through it failed. I tried ten times with power-up cards and ten more times with level cards just to be sure and it failed every single time.

Also something of note: the eReader does not fit in the Revo unless you remove/relocate the EXT. port extension socket. This can be done by opening it up, but I haven't bothered. I might some day to see if I can get this all working from the other direction.
