Just wanted to record what I went through with my switch so that it might help someone in the future. I was going through some odd corruption of the SD card slot. I typically run atmosphere and started having issues with my SD card disconnecting while playing. So I replaced the slot as many guides sometimes tell you to do.
I continued having the same issue with less frequency but then it got from bad to worse. I thought it was loose pin because it was okay if the console was face down horizontal and that helped but that eventually stopped working. Then the SD card stopped working altogether.
I noticed that the slot worked because when I inserted my SD card it prompted an error posting this after the fix so I cannot say what error it was. Eventually I thought maybe something was wrong with the software that effected the slot. I wiped the console and that solved my SD card issues.
