They aren't doing it for nothing...Then why do those in Scene groups do it then ?

I bought a Gateway so that does mean my opinion about "TX" is suddenly validThe same BS from the same people for over 2 years, it even goes back further to TX was Gateway, really who cares, most of you never bought a gateway card or SX
You really think this is the end of TX when there are over 50m patched switches out there, when they've a product that works. Sure they've had set backs but they will regroup and be back.

In all seriousness, I don't think anyone is actually claiming "TX" is dead. But combined with the arrests as well as the site constantly going down, even you have to admit that the whole situation is becoming more and more unstable. At the very least, people who use SX OS should look into setting up a dualboot with Atmosphere. They don't lose or risk anything and can keep SX OS in case "TX" does release an update. And they technically don't have to update the CFW anymore for those patched consoles because anyone can now setup Atmosphere on them. Although their modchips are also not only becoming harder to find but install since Nintendo has issued C&D orders to anyone within an inch of a soldering iron...
Not only that. After a seize and stop production in China from Tencent (someone posted in a GBAtemp thread about it). It seems next to impossible to get them produced as well, if they haven't moved to like Vietnam? Also they seem to be all gone on Aliexpress when I look for them.Although their modchips are also not only becoming harder to find but install since Nintendo has issued C&D orders to anyone within an inch of a soldering iron...
Have you ever been in the scene? I used to. It's not all glory I tell you that. Also some people do earn money on it, that's no lie. But most do it for fun and it's not suppose to go outside the scene, but people leak it out anyway.well who pays them then, the people who download games for free?
you think the crackers in groups like CPY, who constantly cracked Denuvo did it for money ? , I don't think so, I don't think you'll find them earning minimum pay working in a dead end job.

Why? I don't know. But what I do know is that the site has been going down moreso than before the arrests. Coincidence? Maybe or maybe not. What I'm saying is there are people who use and support SX OS (including people in this very thread) that see, to put it lightly, a "downward trend". Or in other words, Rome didn't fall in a daywell about their sites, they are still up, so why are they not permanently taken down ?
But I never said switch. I was careful in my wording and I recommended setting up dualboot which is a much more efficient use of time than playing the waiting game. Regardless of whether an update comes out or not, it does not hurt to have options. No reason yet to switch to Atmos, you can download many of the updated or new games patched already to work with SX.

Goodie then you know what I'm talking about. But these people are most likely all about money. Why would they release a new update for SXOS if they risk getting Nintendo on them? When they can instead just use Atmosphere for example or make a new cfw that aint filled with piracy tools?Yes I go back to the days of dial up , even as far back as 300baud modems. I use to be on all the famous UK BBS boards, Flying Teapot, Unknown Pleasures etc. I cracked a few games in my time when they were on 5 1/4 disks. Traded alot of warez, meet a few of the guys who rans some of the boards.
Yes some people do make money, but most don't.

50 million potential customers will be the driving force, if not TX I'm sure many others will step in for a slice of the pie, like I said they've got a product that works and it's scared the $%%$ out of Nitendo.
I know you didn't mention switch, nothing wrong with dual boot, it's probably the right way to go for many. but for me unless my kids pester me about a new game. I'll stick to SX.
Well when you put it like that, it makes it even more disappointing that they haven't done anything to appease these people. Instead, Atmosphere has stepped up to fill in the gap so can you really blame people for switching in these times? Also, I think you're giving them a bit too much credit. Nintendo has gone after everyone and everything in the hacking scene. Not only did they target their websites but they labeled all dongles (excluding the SX Pro) as "USB Piracy Sticks". Plus going after installers affects those who wanted someone to install a Fusee Gelee modchip so those installers also see less business. Its just easier to go after "TX" since they blanket everything under one umbrella as opposed to the entire Switch community which is composed of many groups and tools.50 million potential customers will be the driving force, if not TX I'm sure many others will step in for a slice of the pie, like I said they've got a product that works and it's scared the $%%$ out of Nitendo.

It's makes little incentive for this to continue when you already got a target painted on your back. We will see, I do think a new update will drop. But once a massive new release comes around (A stable update and not a Beta) that's up to the stars I think.

Its also funny you mention your kids being the reason for not at least setting up Atmosphere because another user tried to wait it out but bit the bullet because his kids couldn't make him wait any longer. Relevant thread can be found here
I do understand what you mean, however there is still a marginal amount of people that can install the modchips and as @Draxzelex said, if someone say they do the service, they get a paper. So I'm not so sure how profitable it really is in the long run now days.Exactly its about money. 50 million potential customers, you've spent time and money making a product that works and is in demand.
you would release an update because you need to try and keep the customers who bought SX in the past happy, but more importantly you need to keep SX updated so it works with the latest firmware so when they go back into production the latest firmware is already supported.

I just checked Aliexpress. I can funny enough find a lot of their old 360 parts x3
I know of 4 people so far gotten the C&D. Some people didn't even offer the chip but just a solder service, where agreed on soldering the chip if they provided it. Someone from their firm acted as a customer to lure out the installers.I don't want to find the post or name the person, but after they got the C & D letter from Nitendos lawyers they posted they could solder the cables, which as we all know is the most difficult part if your not a tiny solder guy. So maybe Nintendo cant stop people offering this service as no mod chip is touched by the installer.
Criticism, skepticism, and everything I've posted have been on topic for this thread. It's not "derailing" a thread to give an option that isn't overall positive. I am pretty no one looks at my account and thinks I am antisocial, people don't have to agree to be social with each other.Less derailing of threads. People don't think you are antisocial.
A lot of us have been part of the scene for many years and seen the same patterns from similar teams. Considering the Gateway team has some involvement with SX, it's worth being concerned when we see similar patterns popping up. Right now there's a lot of setbacks that have happened to the SX team and those setbacks that should make people skeptical of anything that isn't an actual product. Until the SX team publishes an actual update, it's safer to kept expectations low and keep one's skepticism high. The same BS from the same people for over 2 years, it even goes back further to TX was Gateway, really who cares, most of you never bought a gateway card or SX

*facepalm* do you even know what cancel culture is?TO ALL YOU SXOS HATERS WHO CAME TO THIS THREAD JUST TO BITCH ABOUT HOW BAD TX IS AND HOW GREAT ATMOS IS, YOU ARE FREE TO GO FUCK OFF SOMEWHERE ELSE! THIS IS PLAIN HARRASMENT! TAKE YOUR CANCEL CULTURE AND JUST GO AND NOT COME BACK!
No it's actually quite simple...
Nintendo allows unsigned code as much as they do piracy! The exact same difference in their eyes.
That is a fact and not your opinion!
