I'm getting massive delay between the actions and sometimes it doesn't even register the actions but instead it seems to queue them up and then execute them all in a row (I've noticed this when I tried to input my name in games). I've seen that VBA GX had the problems but they've been fixed. Any chance for a fix for snes9x-gx? And IIRC fceu-gx suffered from the same thing.

I too have this problem. My version is 4.3.1 but I've read similar posts expiercing this. For me, super metroid is not playing well with the gamecube controller, though megaman X worked. In Super Metroid, there is a lot of input lag and it seems that it is queing the input too... There is always 3 sec+ between the button press and the reaction on screen. Super Metroid is actually quite playable with the Wiimode, but later in the game you really need those backbuttons.

There is already a fix for this problem, thanks to daxtsu.

@the randomizer

What exactly is RetroArch, and if it's a diffrent emulator, will open up the same save games?

EDIT:
well ok, RetroArch does seem to work with the gamecube controller, though it has a weird screen resolution and it seems a bit sturdier than the other emulator. The music jitters, too. And of course, it can't open up my save-game :P

Thanks for the tip though...

@zerofalcon

That seems to be a fix for the visual boy, right? I'd really hate to lose my Metroid save-games so I'm extra cautious. Don't wanna install anything that might remove, or is unable to load those save-games.

You must be using some weird screen resolution if you experience the music 'jittering' (whatever that means). Perhaps your TV doesn't support a PAL60/NTSC signal or you're in PAL50 mode?

And honestly, ever tried Seiken Densetsu 3 on SNES9x GX and heard what happens when it switches between resolution? Talk about music jittering there - I think you'll be hard pressed to find an emulator on the Wii that has as impeccable of an audio/video sync as RetroArch - and that is not tooting my horn - a lot of time was spent to get that part right, and I feel justified in bragging about it given that the rest seems to below par in that department.

And of course, it can't open up my save-game :P

It can't open your savestates because my SNES9x port is heavily rewritten and optimized for speed unlike Tantric's quick and dirty emulator port - and certain changes had to be made to the savestate format along the way.

I'm feeling fairly confident that neither SNES9x GX or any of Tantric's emu ports will ever be able to beat the libretro cores as it is right now when it comes to A/V video sync. It simply will always be inferior due to the Wii's weird (read: broken) audio/video syncing mechanism and his ports failing to have a proper fallback mechanism for that - only way to fix the audio/video sync would be to opt for some mechanism like 'variable input control rate' (like we're doing in RetroArch) or to do what ekeeke is doing (not really a portable solution when you're making a multi-emu frontend). Until then, good luck beating it.

uhh remember than composite cables & screen settings on some LCD can cause lag (ie : sports/cinema/teather unlike "gaming" which has little lag but blurrier pixels).
