Don’t forget these two as they are both great, lengthy games:

“Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA”
”Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch“

Well we know BotW 2 is in the works, but great open-world RPGs don't come along that often. I'd highly recommend Witcher 3 if you haven't played it yet, and The Outer Worlds looks like it'll be good too. I prefer to play these types of multi-platform games on PC, but there's definitely some appeal in being able to play them on a portable system too.
Looking forward to Witcher 3 and Outer Worlds. My PC really isnt up to playing games like those very well.

Just to clarify to everyone Im not complaining, just looking for recommendations, I love my Switch.

Do any of the good Switch JRPGs have action based combat?

Ys VIII, Tales of Vesperia, Dragon's Dogma?

Yokai Watch 4 if that ever comes over...

Then there's the "warriors" musou games if that is close enough.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 isn't turn-based but not sure if its actiony enough.

I would suggest that you simply wait as a lot of amazing games are coming up. Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Doom Eternal, Luigi’s Mansion 3, the new Layton game, Pikmin 4, Rune Factory 4 (this is what I am most excited for), Bayonetta 3, little town hero, my friend pedro, Metroid 4, and Breath of the Wild 2. This is still a growing system and hasnt even struck maturity in its life cycle yet so it will keep getting big games for at least 5 more years (8-9 years if you believe Nintendo PR). If you are bored with all the current games in the system then install Retroarch and play old N64, DS, GBA classics. Honestly this is the first system I bought after years (my last one was a ps3), and I absolutely love it.

Im not making this thread to say that there isnt any good games on the Switch, there are dozens, but overall Im feeling unsatisfied. I cant think of many deep/meaningful games besides Mario, Zelda and some jrpgs.

So I guess Im asking what are your favorite single player games that has dozens or hundreds of hours of deep gameplay?
As long as they're not Sports, Turn-based or Time Management games I'll play them.

I've got my humble Switch games collection and it has many very well known Mario games and some not very well known or not very popular ones.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
