Hello.

My switch power adapter cable is too short for my use case. I want to solder an extension wire of roughly 1 meter in between the power brick and the USB plug.

Would that work? I have the necessary soldering skills. It's for dock use.

USB-C female to USB-C male cable is both safer and easier.

It's a lot of wires to solder but 1 meter should be no problem.
If you only solder the +5v and ground, the Nintendo adapter won't switch to fast charging.
So as already mentioned, an USB-C extension cable or just an power cord extension cable is the easiest solution.

I will second the idea to use a regular extension cord. Save the time, or risk of soldering something together. An electrical extension cord is cheap compared to a usb-c extension. Swing by the dollar store.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, The response from the page said it had too many connections. So perhaps, flooded traffic?
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, it didnt say that for me
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, It only shows that if you do 'View Source', right below that it'll tell you the SQL response query. I feel like a nerd lol.
