well, now i know im not the only one who parents doesnt let buy some stuff, I'm minor too.
In Brazil is very hard to get those kind of accessories and the price is so expensive (one dollar is four reais).
i know your problem man, i want a ds save editor and dump too :D
Same here. I actually found an DS flashcard for 300 Reais near my home. My parents actualy WANTED to buy it so i won't need to pay 150 reais (price of a 3DS game before Nintendo quited Brazil) in only one game.

EDIT:
I actually wan't a DSiWare save dumper/injector. I'm sure more than one person would wan't that.
Another advantage of having a NDS Save Dumper. Flashcards can't dump DSi Save Games.

Buy it and have it delivered to a friends house http://www.peachds.com/?product=/r4i-save-dongle/ they take paypal and google wallet it went from 8 to 6.

your solution is encourage him to go against his parents decision and act like a criminal because he has to hide the dongle like a filthy porn magazine?
it could be even 1 cent, it's their decision. he already asked them. they said no, he respects.
buying the thing after he asked his parents will only give him problems later.. and they are not worth the 8 dollars...

btw @hacksn5s4 there is homebrew but for the DS (it doesn't work with a 3ds), and you are right, its not hard to make it.. someone could just port it or make a simple thing...
if the homebrew that exists does have access to the cart there is no problem...

Dude, I coded some DS save editors myself. It's really easy if you have some programming skills. That post was about save editors, not about dumping saves.

I.e. one that works on the 3DS? I've poked around at the source files of a few apps that can dump 3ds saves, and I sorta understand it (2 semesters of C courses), but not entirely. What do you have to do differently to access a NDS cart?

If you don't want to buy anything, just use pkhex and add all the pokemons manually with their legit stats and stuff.

Can non-kernel homebrew even read DS carts?

The region free launcher and HANS aren't detecting my Mario 64 DS cart.

I love how all you guys saying it shouldn't be hard, but you really don't know how hard it is. If you have CFW and can install DSi CIAs then making one shouldn't be hard, but if you're using *hax count it out. There's literally no way to read anything off that that cart without running TWL_FIRM. Which is pretty much Impossible to do from *hax currently.

Yup, just give it a while and hope future Ninjhax can do more of what CFW/Kernel access can already do..

But what about Pokétransfer then? This app DOES read from/write to NDS save files after all.
If it is a service allowing this, then maybe you can launch Pokétransfer through HANS to get access to that service, if any.

A DS or 3DS flashcart? Because I paid R$40 for my R4i Gold 3DS to use on my DSi XL. I bought online from aogao ( very nice brazilian store ).

That's complicated I really don't know how it works. Even if we could use that somehow, I'm (kind of) sure that it [would] only works with DSi enhanced titles.

this might not be related at all, but Pokémon B/W/B2/W2 have a slightly modified cartridge (due to having infrared), and therefore not all DS save managers work with it. most of them do though, but they might have a special workaround for the game.

I still don't know how Poké Transfer works though, so don't take this as "only those games will work".

I doubt the infrared cartridge changes how it works to the point it makes the 3DS able to read the save file, if it would be unable to read any other DS save file.

olshrimpeyes might have a point with them being DSi-enhanced and not regular DS games, not sure. Does that even make that much of a difference?
Don't both DS and DSi-enhanced games have to run on TWL_FIRM anyway?
