It’s been almost seven months since we last saw Super Smash Land, Dan Fornace’s Game Boy-inspired PC demake of Nintendo’s beloved fighting franchise.
Clearly it was time very well spent, as the game has now ballooned to a whopping six character, eleven stage behemoth.
The final release features a classic arcade mode, four-player multiplayer, and a Polygon Team style Endless Mode, complete with support for online leaderboards.

Downloading as we speak!
Wait was this ever GB homebrew? Or is it just with GB graphics.
No its a demake, it just uses gb graphics but it cannot run on an actual gb. I thought this homebrew was never coming out. Awesome to see it finally released.

I know this has multiplayer and online but... does anybody else wish he'd just coded it as a GB ROM? Would make it even more awesome.
Then again coding for GB is probably a lot harder than PC.

I dont think I will be able to stand playing that for even 5 seconds
You're 16 years old, in that era you barely played GB I wager, so you won't get the "fun" factor in

This game is much more fun than games nowadays. So simple yet so fun.

Are you kidding me? I'm 15 and I LOVED the Gameboy as a little kid. I played games like Tetris, Warioland, Pokemon, Super Mario Land (mostly 2)- age isn't the problem.

I happen to be 17 and my first games were Doom and various NES games.
I didn't see a single pure 3D modeled game till like i was 10, and played it a year later.
I enjoy old games just fine :C

FUCK YES GRABBING THIS

Would've been nice to see it as a GB homebrew, but I'm glad some demake of sorts got made. I'll grab it as soon as I can!

I just tried this out. It pretty good. Only thing different i was expecting was being able to press up to jump instead if using one of the two buttons, which then can be used for special moves etc. I was playing as link and i kept pulling bombs out.......

You can set up to jump by activating it before you choose your character. Just below the character picture it says UP-JUMP just make sure it's on before you fight.
