Hayato, I don't know what you're smoking but his console is in the orange zone so there was actually a chance it was patched.
TL;DR. Compare your serial here to know if your Switch is patched or not:
Serials beginning with XAW1:
Serials between XAW10000000000 - XAW10074000000 are safe to buy
Serials between XAW10075000000 - XAW10120000000 are possibly patched
Serials above XAW10120000000 are definitely patched
No, he was doing everything right. It was you who is doing something wrong by using a website to check serial numbers which is not recommended. Its a well known fact that all sites to check serial numbers are vastly outdated and chock full of misinformation. This is definitive proof of that. The one and only place to check serial numbers is and will always be the first post of this thread. I hope you learned your lesson today.
