So i just put in my fresh formatted empty 32gb exfat micro sd card and i get the following message "Please note an update via an Internet connection is required to use microSDXC memory cards."
Do i have to connect to the internet now or will it also update to 6.2 then?

While exFAT is useful for dumping and restoring the NAND, its not recommended for usage with CFW; at least if you don't have a second SD card formatted as FAT32. I highly advise you to reformat the SD card to FAT32 because if you accept the exFAT update, it will not only update you to firmware 6.2 but irreversibly burn fuses which will make it impossible to downgrade in case a future exploit is released for lower firmwares such as a hypothetical untethered coldboot hack.

Thank you very much, I just didn´t know before that Hekate will support ExFAT although my Switch official firmware won´t support it.

Quick question about updates. I've heard new firmware will be released very soon so I have my switch set to airplane mode and also the 90dns thing. However I've read in a couple of places that people's switches have downloaded updates despite these precautions. Is there any truth to this? Should I just delete my wifi settings to be safe?

The creator of 90DNS couldn't find any rational explanation for why people were able to download updates when using 90DNS. The only conclusion I can come to is that they didn't configure it properly. But if you're paranoid and want a definitive way of not downloading updates, then delete your Wi-Fi settings. Unless you're using FTP or the web browser, there's no reason to have Wi-Fi settings on a hacked console.

It'll be restored back to whatever your console was like when you made that NAND backup.

so after installing an xci game the sxos installer app sees it as an eshop game with an option to dump it as a .nsp file does anyone know if converts xci to nsp or will the end file be a xci ?

There is no way to rebuild .XCI files although I think its doable with .NSP files.

To install .XCI files, a flag needs to be altered so the game doesn't bug you to insert the cartridge so in a way, .XCI files are sort of converted to .NSP files (but not a true .NSP file). All of the cartridge dumpers dump from something inserted in the cartridge slot so unless you're dumping from there, you will end up with a .NSP file.

Well you would just follow the ChoiDujour tutorial. But one thing to be aware about is that ChoiDujour doesn't support firmware 6.2 so the highest firmware you can update to with ChoiDujour is 6.1

when it comes to deleting software i installed like games,dlc and updates i can do everything through the system data manager right dont need goldlef or tinfoil or some other app right

Either or is fine. But personally I'd prefer using the Switch's internal data management features rather than a homebrew app because homebrew apps can always bug out.
