Hey Is there a way to have your emuNAND online and not get that pesky reminder to update whenever I access a game? (ive accidentally updated in the past and would like to never experience that again)
Also is there a guide on terms when it comes to switch hacking? I'm getting lost understanding the differences between stuff like emuNAND sysNAND emuMMC etc...
If you are using Atmosphere, you can boot the stock emuMMC via Hekate to have the emuMMC online as safely as possible. As for a guide, you can find one
here
Hey, everyone. I have installed Atmosphere, Renix and SXOS but i keep running into the same problem. After the Sept splash screen the console will not boot into CFW. Would be most grateful if anyone can help. Thanks
You cannot boot Atmosphere and ReiNX on the same SD card if the console's firmware version is at least 7.0. That is because both Atmosphere and ReiNX have their own sept folders needed to boot their respective CFW meaning you can only boot between ReiNX or Atmosphere after firmware 7.0.
Hello guys!! I have a 2nd hand Switch with an exploitable serial no. coming from ebay but the seller has updated it to 8.1.0 before sale ,im going to do an auto-rcm atmosphere set up and im not too bothered with online play so im wondering will i set up a legit nnid and link it to the switch before i mod or would that be ill advised ??? secondly is it safe to have tinfoil/incognito and wifi on post mod if i block dns etc??? (this is my first mod since back in the days of bannerbomb so sorry for noob questions) thanks for your time.
I would highly recommend you link a Nintendo Account on the console as soon as possible since certain content requires a linked account such as the NES application, Super Mario Maker 2, Bloodstained, Mortal Kombat 11, Stardew Valley, etc. Also you do not need Incognito if you are using a DNS server to block Nintendo traffic. One or the other, or even Airplane Mode/removing Wi-Fi settings, is sufficient.
Hey guys,
i'm thinking of creating another partition for emunand purposes. However I made my nand-backup with Reinx in january and i keep reading that this kind of nand backup is not clean at all. Is there anything i can do about that? Or do i just have to deal with the risk of getting banned when playing online? Or is, fingers crossed, the reinx backup clean and safe to use?
Greetings
I have a "clean" sysNAND on 5.1. I recently got emuMMC and used Choidujoir to upgrade it to the current Switch version 8.1.0 w/o burning fuses (does fuse count even matter on emuNAND?). So my next question is, will I need to get prod keys off of my emuNAND at the higher firmware in order to run backups? And, if so, how do I do it since it looks like I can only run lockpick on RCM for higher versions (and running it from RCM only gets the prodkeys off my lower-version sysNAND, right?)? Or could I just use the prod.keys from my 5.1 backup I made before I even hacked my Switch?
I'm guessing I'll need to upgrade sysNAND to 8.1.0 (w/o burning fuses of course) to get the prodkeys off of that for my emuNAND. Then just restore my sysNAND back to its "clean" state. But I want to ascertain this is what I have to do before I do it since it'll take a bit more time. I'm not aware if there's an easier solution or not.
Unfortunately, the only thing I can recommend is temporarily updating your sysMMC to the latest firmware to get the latest keys via Lockpick_RCM. You can simply use the homebrew application ChoiDujourNX to update your sysMMC firmware without burning fuses so that you can restore your NAND backup without any issues. Although you typically do not need keys unless you are converting files on your computer or datamining games. You can even find the keys on Google if you know where to look.
What is mean next
Uploading payload (mezzo size: 92, user size: 78294, total size: 144510, total padded size: 147456)...
Switched to high buffer
Smashing the stack!
Smashed the stack with a 0x7000 byte SETUP request!
Payload successfully injected
Error while injecting payload (RC=-99)
It means there might be something wrong with your USB cable, computer, or both.
Tried using a different cable. same results. nothing on the switch.
Tried using a different computer too. again, same results. nothing on the switch.
im genuinely baffled at this point as to what the problem could be.
Do you have an Android or rooted iOS device that you can try sending a payload with?
