Heya. I'm looking to hack my second switch so i can give my main switch ACNH items via local play. Will this work, or will one of them get banned? (Don't care if the second one is banned from online but do local bans exist?)

Actually your issue is that you didn't send the payload. I recommend using TegraRCMSmash instead as it is less buggy than TegraRCMGUI.

OK, I'll try TegraRCMSmash. With TegraRCMGUI the option to inject payload is greyed out (it's not detecting RCM).

You have to restore a NAND backup made before ever running CFW or homebrew.

I personally recommend the Switch homebrew guide.

I downloaded TegraRCMSmash but I'm not sure what to do with it. It doesn't seem to launch. Also, is it not an issue that I am not in RCM? Doesn't the update via Nintendo switch off AutoRCM (just going by things I've read elsewhere)? What about maintenance mode? Could that be an option?

I'm on SXOS right now and would love to Switch to Atmosphere/ReiNX. My SD card has 400gb and many save files, so I don't wanna reset or backup everything. Is there a way to just convert my emunand from SXOS to Atmosphere or do I HAVE to format everything? I'm especially worried that I would lose my Animal Crossing files, since those are device saves.

Update offline with ChoiDujourNX.
Atmosphere is best free CFW.

Use the migrate emuMMC option in Hekate.

I followed the instructions at GitHub, downloaded Zadig and I don't see APX listed in the device manager, just Nintendo Switch - and even that only appears briefly because the Switch powers up and then disappears from the list. I can't get into RCM mode as the instructions advise.

Update the CFW.

There is not much difference between the latest firmware version, 9.2, and 9.1, which is the firmware some games might require, so you can update to whichever one you want.

Clearing error logs increases your chances of getting banned and Incognito is a self-imposed ban.

I also have 4 SD cards with my content. Each one of them prepared to be used with Atmos.
I am fully banned from Nintendo Online.

I´ve been reluctant to update because I heard 9.1.0 screwed up cartridge usage and homebrew and I love my retroarch and PFBA.
Don´t wanna lose them.

In the other hand, now I´m willing to update.
Would it be safe to do it with ChoirdujourNX as I did to install 8.0.1? Is there anything special I must have in mind when updating?
Will I have to update sigpatches in every SD too?
