Hi, i just accidentally broke my 3DS Touchscreen Flex cable and connector. So my 3DS can't read touch inputs, however I can still see stuff on the display. I was wondering if there is someway I could transfer the system data? Here is what I have to work with:
*Faulty R button(can fix that if needed)
*No touch input.
*A flex cable which have one broken connector(the metal part of the part you connect to the reader is not connected to the rest of the cable(__ __ like that))

try pushing the wire into place and securing it with tape, it might last long enough to do a transfer

reading over your post im not sure if you mean you have damaged the ribbon cable too......if so all i can think is getting a replacement digitizer and using that to initiate the transfer, you can get them for like £2

Would Nintendo arrange the transfer for you if you tell them the old console is broken?
Edit: no forget that. They could transfer eshop purchases but that wouldn't help getting the data that's on the console.

Yeah, I've tried but one of the cables inside inside the plastic is cut off, so I would have to peel the plastic to make the connector able to read the cable. I think.

might just be worth ordering another digitizer....its pretty hard getting any sort of connection with the bare pads, but trying to get strip down the plastic on the ribbon cable probably wont work.....give it a shot by all means, but maybe order a digitizer anyway, with a bit of messing about you could likely fix it up and get it secured into a usable state
