I have more than one switch.I though you wanted to wait for homebrew? Claiming Switch will be "soon" hacked

Then maybe they had an update-sharing LAN party?I have more than one switch.
Haven't turned the other one on. Ever lol. The only person who lives near me is an old dude who obviously doesn't game. Then maybe they had an update-sharing LAN party?
I was on 4.0. I was alerted of the system update to 4.1 without any internet connection. NO way to connect to the internet, and I was still alerted. The game cart asked for an update too. Same thing. No internet. C'mon guy. READ
you supossed to turn off your internet b4 turn your switch on baby,do not take the riskthis Switch system has before, yes. But even if I forget the netwrok? I guess that could be a way huh? It just seems... not right... if it forgets the connection. The connection had a pass too... It's weird.
That's my guess. It's not out of the realm of possibility that Nintendo has an idea of how long it takes to release a patch and hard-coded an estimated schedule into the games. If the guess is wrong then checking for updates will clear that alert (and maybe update the schedule).is it possible that 4.1 was a timed update? maybe your 4.0 software knew it was time to update
I haven't had it connected in months... do people not read...?you supossed to turn off your internet b4 turn your switch on baby,do not take the risk
It would be great if some hacker confirm the timebomb theory. To me, it sounds like the most probable case.I haven't had it connected in months... do people not read...?
I haven't had it connected since 4.0 though. Idk its weird man haha! But no it didnt make me install. It would be great if some hacker confirm the timebomb theory. To me, it sounds like the most probable case.
Now the question would be, was it able to install an update after nagging you?
Because if it is a timebomb, it will be able to annoy you to connect to the internet for updating, but it sure won't be able to install the update if you don't connect to the internet afterwards.
doesnt matter and of course i read.so relax and calm down babyI haven't had it connected in months... do people not read...?
It feels like you didn't read his post at all.I was on 4.0. I was alerted of the system update to 4.1 without any internet connection. NO way to connect to the internet, and I was still alerted. The game cart asked for an update too. Same thing. No internet. C'mon guy. READ
That's not the point, the reason he says "READ" is that he is not asking if he should update or not, the question is about something completely different:It feels like you didn't read his post at all.
He's simply asking you why you don't update to the latest.
There's really no point in staying on a lower firmware if you've already updated past the point of homebrew.
I think he is making this question because he has another Switch that is on low firmware, and he is probably scared that it could "update" on its own without an internet connection set up.How are they doing this without any available internet connections?
I feel it still needs to be mentioned though. That's not the point, the reason he says "READ" is that he is not asking if he should update or not, the question is about something completely different:

Are you sure it's not a game update? The Switch will cache a list of game updates and can ask you to update a game even months after it's been online.I haven't had it connected since 4.0 though. Idk its weird man haha! But no it didnt make me install.
I wouldn't be able to update, it will just show you a banner that you should update and if you accept it would ask you to connect to the internet. In other words, it would be just a nag.If it were a timebomb then if you pressed on update when prompted where would it pull the update from if it’s never been online.
