The Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles remaster has been delayed to Summer 2020

If you were hoping to play the upcoming remaster for Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles next month, you're going to have to wait. Square Enix has pushed the game's release back from January 23, 2020, to "Summer 2020". The reasoning for the delay is to allow for the development team to tweak and improve the game so that it could be "the best experience possible". When Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition does release, it'll be for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android, and will offer cross-play and cross-save compatibility with each platform.

Since announcing Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition, we’ve read so many positive messages filled with encouragement, and all of us on the team would like to thank you for the support you’ve shown us so far.

Today we’re announcing that the release date for the game is being moved to Summer 2020. We’ve made the decision to adjust the release date to allow the development team some extra time to make final adjustments to the game to make this the best experience possible.

We know you’ve been waiting patiently for this game, and we hope you’ll continue to support us as you have done so far, over the coming months through to launch.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition is coming to PS4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android devices. You’ll be able to play online with your friends and transfer your save file across all four platforms when the game launches in Summer 2020.

a lot of QoL (quality of life) updates, so might actually play this one. fine with them pushing it back though, I'll be busy with ff7 and animal crossing until then.

To be honest I don't know why this wasn't what was going in the first place, releasing them in such a short time span together usually never goes well.

I was thinking this was a Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift remake for a second. I loved that game. Took me years to beat it though..due to forgetting about it multiple times.

I absolutely love the DS games, to each their own
this is nothing like the ds games. this is the shit gamecube remaster. you have to carry this fucking orb around everywhere and you can't even attack unless you near it. it's fucking terrible. the remaster isn't going to make it ANY better!

i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
