I have to say that Tinfoil is one of the most important tools to me. I have used Tinfoil since i hack my Switch.

But some people say that Tinfoil can steal yout prodinfo.

I don't believe on this rumor, but I prefer ask you about this. Is that true? Why this rumor? How secure is tinfoil?

So the rumor is that Blawar steal the console serial number from prodinfo, and that is the reason he can get a lot of games.

But he’s not the one providing the games…

how can you do that
https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/Atmosphere/blob/master/config_templates/exosphere.ini

It's saved on your sdcard in the example templates. Or you can download it here, put it in the root of your SD Card.

Mine looks like this

Code:
[exosphere]
debugmode=1
debugmode_user=0
disable_user_exception_handlers=0
enable_user_pmu_access=0
blank_prodinfo_sysmmc=1
blank_prodinfo_emummc=1
allow_writing_to_cal_sysmmc=0
log_port=0
log_baud_rate=115200
log_inverted=0

I don't know if it's stealing prodinfo or what they'd use it for.

What I'd like to know is how it identifies an individual switch. It can and it does even with the serial blanked. I think it uses the prod.keys file in the switch folder but I'm not sure.

My friend has a switch that was previously registered to one of the shops. So he can't re register it as he bought 2nd hand. It's there a way around this. The shops don't allow unlinking. Could I use the prodinfo gen tool and nxnand manager to write a new profinfo to the nand (emunand of course). Or maybe it'd be as simple as copying the prod.keys file from the working switch?

Any ideas would be appreciated. Obviously I don't want to get the "working" switch or account banned so a little info first would be good.
