PS1/2 Trying to run PS2 games at 1080i, is there something I’m doing wrong? (OPL GSM)

So I’ve tried using the latest beta version of OPL with GSM support. I’ve configured GSM for each game, and while it does output as 1080i, all it really does is upscale the picture rather than increase the internal resolution (basically, it still looks like 480p but the pixels are blocky rather than blurry). Also, the image doesn’t fit the entire monitor, and is sometimes stretched or squashed. (OPL displays in proper 1080i though). I tried this with my entire library of games, am I missing something?

    Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    @BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

    You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
