Did steelhax transfer over and did you install the exploit as the guide said? If so give it a few more tries, maybe it takes a few tries.

The only issue I can see is this;

I am not sure if having the actual hax installed prior to the system transfer is important.
If it is then I am not sure how users are getting steelhax working on the initial device prior to transfer(assuming both are on 11.2), or if they are then which payload options they are picking for the initial device and second device.

That is the part I am looking into.

I have seen about 5-6 users state it worked with two 11.2 systems, but haven't gotten a definitive answer.

Just go grab a copy of Ocarina or Paper Mario Sticker from a Game shop (they cost 12-15 £ in 2nd hand).
Only thing is you'll need a console running homebrew (either with menuhax or A9LH) to install the sploit on the cart.

You'll have a CART entrypoint and access to homebrew. Then you can go with the downgrade.

You're UK based so it will be easy to find one. (I'm working in Wales and found plenty of them on Talbot Green Game shop).

Ok. But I thought for oot you would need power saves as well?

If that's not the case, is it also possible to back up the save on the cart before using the sploit?

U can use hacked console to install exploit. Power saves is only to make it primary.

Ok, so good news.

I have two devices.

O3DS with A9LH+luma
N3DSXL
Both on 11.2 so I'll be downgrading as soon as the system transfer cool down period is over.

I just did the steelhax thang following

Even though system one is on 11.2, I was still able to get steelhax to launch homebrew.
On the O3DS I ran hblauncher>steelhax installer until opening steel divers finally booted up hb
In the steelhax installer on hblauncher I used the true firmware 11.2 and it worked.

It took a few tries, but it works.

It installs into the cart in the form of a save. So you can wipe the save and the cart is fresh again.

Look @brentblend pist, he got steelhax to work

You can do that on the hacked console as well, use JKSM or any other save manager

You probably want to have a oot3d (and second exploitable unit to write its payload, which could be 9.2 or the original version before downgrade) around to deal with the partial downgrade cases for sysupdate. I had to use it for all 3 systems I tried the downgrader on.
