PS1/2 Uncompress and Replace game files in ps2 game iso

Hello
I have the game
evil dead boomstick usa in iso format

I want to translate it into Spanish, that's just editing the text file and translating it

but I need to extract the files from the iso and then replace it
If I use winrar or 7-zip it reduces the size from 3.7gb to 1.7gb

and if I use poweriso or ultraiso
It replaces the text file but when updating the iso it does the same thing: it reduces the size to 1.7gb and then the iso becomes unusable

any other way to do it?

HI! The iso is totally usable for me using ultraiso and being 1.7GB and latest PCSX2.

i check again and for me work fine
uncompress game and after make iso with imgburn

this game have the text file in cze
do you know any way to convert cze text file to txt and after build again the cze file?

yes i know that can use hexeditor but maybe there any tool more easy

or i was doing bad the subtitution in the text file
