Unreleased Star Wars Rogue Squadron Wii Game Footage Revealed

Star Wars: Rogue Squadron was a tremendously disappointing Star Wars/X-Men crossover. If you could somehow overlook that, however, you'd find a pretty popular series focused around the Star Wars' iconic starfighter battles.

Information has come to light that developer Factor 5 was actually working on a Roque Squadron title for the Wii... sort of. It was basically a not-HD HD collection, bundling Rogue Leader and Rebel Strike with 60 FPS gameplay, multiple control schemes, and a lightsaber dueling minigame using the Wii Motion Plus.

Sadly, the game was cancelled, so this footage is as much as we're likely ever going to get. Enjoy it while it lasts.

I loved the Rogue Squadron games so much, but a Wii "not HD but slightly better" remake combined with shitty waggle controls sounds completely pointless to me, I can see why they didn't bother.

Just make a new Rogue Squadron game for PC and the next gen consoles ffs, it has been WAY too long since the last game.

I do miss Rogue Squadron. I'm not too concerned over the lack of a Wiimake, but rather that there is no Rogue Squadron IV.

Yeah while it would have been kinda cool. And having the ability to use the gcn controller for control would have been great. Really, it would have been only ok...Although not having to pay for it because it's a wii game, that would have been great!

i was just thinking about this game, and from what i hear its complete somewhere out there. Would be nice if someone dumped this, and if it is on the net it will be sooner or later.
