Saw this on for Switch information. I don't remember them saying a firmware update was coming through here.

I don’t think an update will release. Maybe a minor or patch update. But there absolutely will not be a major update (10.0.0), I’m 100% confident of that.

Even if you give a heads up, there will be 2-4 new users on January 6 who will make a thread saying they accidentally updated and get a black screen.

This is just eshop maintenance, “general maintenance” it’s not a firmware update.
