pre-made or converting what?
wiiflow is provided in "boot.dol" like other homebrew, there's nothing to convert or compile.

there is probably an option to change in wiiflow interface to select SD instead of USB.
I tried making it work by using TeconMoon's WiiVC Injector.
I had very little luck with that.

I wanted to be able to control it with the Wii U Pad alone, to perhaps play some Classic Controller compatible Wii games.

tried to make wiiflow work as VCWii inject for what reason?
if it's for Wii games, don't waste your time, it's not possible.

Injecting a game loader as WiiU VCWii channel is only useful as GUI for nintendont.
reloading a different IOS is not possible in injected channels, meaning the features provided by Wii cIOS are not possible : Wii backup games or emuNAND.

I imagine thats not possible?

no, not possible. you can't launch Wii games from injected game loaders. you need to inject the game itself, not the loader.
Maybe it's possible from the loader to launch a retail game disc, as it will not use cIOS, and could benefit from gamepad. let me know if you try that and it works ;)

Pretty sure disc drive access is disabled in WiiVC. Nintendo uses the interface to read a virtual disk in the form of an NFS converted ISO

Hello,
@Tarmfot

put your d2x cios (version 10 beta 52) like this ==>

249 base 57 version 21010
250 base 56 version 65535
251 base 58 version 21010

No USB keys, it works badly or not, prefer an external hard drive in FAT32.

Thanks a lot. Jeannotte. :)
The external hard drive is formatted in fat32 too. But Usb loader GX still dont detects it.

I don't understand exacty what I must do with d2x cios (version 10 beta 52) but I'll try my best. I got my wii ·homebrewed" time ago and I don't remember well. :-)

@Tarmfot

Get the archive here ==>https://sites.google.com/site/compl...d2x-cIOS-Installer-Wii.zip?attredirects=0&d=1

Extract the installer from d2x cIOS and place it in the folder (APPS) of your SD card.
Insert your SD card into your Wii and launch d2x cIOS Installer (wii connected to the net) from the Homebrew channel.

And put the following 3 CIOS like this ==>

Select cIOS: v10 beta52 d2x-v10-beta52
Select cIOS base: 57
Select cIOS slot: 249
Select cIOS version: 21010

Select cIOS: v10 beta52 d2x-v10-beta52
Select cIOS base: 56
Select cIOS slot: 250
Select cIOS version: 65535

Select cIOS: v10 beta52 d2x-v10-beta52
Select cIOS base: 58
Select cIOS slot: 251
Select cIOS version: 21010

Select cIOS: v10 beta52 d2x-v10-beta52
Select cIOS base: 56
Select cIOS slot: 250
Select cIOS version: 65535

Select cIOS base: 58
Select cIOS slot: 251
Select cIOS version: 21010

1)
base56.. ok, why not, some game might need it (I didn't see any yet but didn't get enough report)
but, why choose 65535 only for slot250 and not for the others?
the version number is used to prevents updates of the slot by game discs, but I think the vwii has a protection to prevent game disc from updating them (they can be updated only by network update). and in the event they were updated by disc, you should suggest to use 65535 to all installed cIOS, not only 250.

2)
base58 ... not sure if it's really required.
You know this base has only been used in vWii softmode guides without really knowing why. users just felt it was good idea to install 56-57-58 but guides was written by users who didn't understand anything about the Wii (proof : they even told users to install all of them on the same slot, resulting in only the last installed IOS being available and reported the cIOS v10 was bad because games didn't work... that's only because base58 is the last they installed and is rarely working).
base58 was never used in Wii guides, meaning this base is not very useful or required. But, it's the illogic of "we always did that, let's continue".

edit : Actually Spong bob boating bash doesn't work with 56 or 57, but works with 53 or 58. so, it can be useful ;)
but it's best to suggest a useful base, based on the games the user want to play, not necessarily 58. for example :

Animal Crossing new leaf : cIOS base38 to use the keyboard
spongebob boating bash : cIOS base53 (tested on Wii) or 58 (tested on vWii)

@ Cyan:

I have the following cios install like this, because I saw a lot of topics on several forums where they are installed like that.

On my wii ==> Usb loader GX is configure on the cios 249, the CIOS are installed like this ==>
249 base 56
250 base57

And all my games work well, some games need basic 57 with the cios 250, I know it. I know in general what CIOS needs some games, this or that game.

And I know that a long time ago on the forum, the CIOS were installed like on my Wii.Now they are installed with the new formula cios d2x (the opposite).

Otherwise to counter updates, there is Priiloader that serves this purpose.
As long as the members have installed the correct version of CIOS D2X and installed them correctly, it will work.

Here, I hope you understand me, I do not know if it's clear to you.

Regards Jeannotte.

thanks :)
At least, I'm useful somewhere and people are appreciating it/me.

edit:
priiloader is not possible on vWii. and on wii, some users don't have it installed either.
But other than that, your setup is not bad. I just found weird you suggest a higher version only for a single slot, I wondered if there were a reason.

56 or 57 are both good in either slots, as long as end users know some games will require the slot where they installed base57 into. Oh, and also knowing that just having it installed is not enough, and that he has to specifically set the used slot in the game or loader's settings.

@ Cyan:

I know that Priiloader can not be installed on the VWII mode of the Wii U.

when you look at Tarmfot's Syscheck report, he has installed Priiloader. So that's the old Wii

EDIT:

AH, I forgot to say that my version of CIOS D2X was version 8 Final.:D:yaywii:

Hello,
I am completely new at this and have issues using this mod.
I have installed USBloader GX and forwarder from sourceforge and have followed so many different guides on how to set things up that I'm now really confused.

The version is Rev1271 IOS249 (Rev 21010) + AHB (d2x v10 base56)
My hard drive is 500gb fat32
both loaders currently set to 249.

When using both 249 loaders I have an issues with it initializing the hard drive and it hangs.
When using loader 58 and 249 the hard drive initializes but I get a black screen when loading the games.

Any ideas what I need to do to resolve this?
