ROM Hack using a rom save with powersaves?

hi,
I dumped my acnl rom, dumped the save, and conpared it to a powersaves backup of the cart, and it looks exactly the same besides there being a few bytes before the actual save. Is there any way I can take the save from the rom i dumped, restore it to the dumped card, and use powersaves edits on the card?
tl;dr: can I take a dumped card save, put it in the powersaves 3ds software, and restore it to the cart?

If you dumped the rom for the cart why would you want to use the save extracted from it it with powersaves? The save powersaves uses from the cart will be the same one...

I have been playing using the save on my flashcart(acnl uses 4.x save system), and I want to transfer it to my reatail cart
