I've recently had time to finally sit down and try to figure out what that network option does in vbaGX and SNES9x GX ... to my dismay i've found no real concrete clues as to what its for. What i'm hopping its there for is to enable some kind of internet-type multiplayer on some of these old school games instead of being forced to do local like the game was designed. Its my understanding that some PC based emulators with these consoles is capeable of some sort of netplay / online multiplayer with these kinds of games, so i was hopping the Wii was also capeable of such feats. I have already searched google and such and they talk about "playing your emulator via a network" which doesn't really spell it out for me enough to be sure if this is the case.

Please tell me this is the case, and if not, tell me what the blazes that option is there for.

you could play games stored in your pc via local network

when I didn't have a dedicated HDD for my Wii, I used to play all my roms from the internal hard drive of my pc
